Ibn Qudāmah raḥimahullāh stated:
قال - (أي : الخِرقي) : فإن كان أخرس، أومأ إلى السماء.
He (al-Khiraqi رحمه الله) said: "if he (the butcher) is mute, then he may point to the sky (before slaughtering an animal)."

Benefit 18: Why don't Salafees celebrate the Prophet’s birthday?
ANSWER:
They don't celebrate the Prophet's birthday because:
● There's not a single Āyah in the Qurʿān endorsing this celebration.
● There's not a single ḥadīth from the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ endorsing this celebration, whether authentic or inauthentic.
● There's not a single Athar from any of the Companions regarding this celebration, whether authentic or inauthentic.
● The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ did not…
I'm amazed at those people who make videos of scholars and pass them around. Are they not afraid of the scholar's du'a against them? More importantly, are they not afraid of the Curse of Allah?
Rather than walking away from the dars with a notebook filled with benefits, we find many walking away with videos and photos of the Sheikh...well this is what the Sheikh had to say.
